The
voluntary giving of help to those in need
begins at home and from there it spread out that is the God’s principle, I mean
it is the person’s responsibility to provide needs of his/her own family and
relatives first. Therefore it is really hypocritical act if we say we love and
help others while hating and not helping our own family members and relatives.
There is
a greater connection between helping your own family members and the faith in
Christ; this means your denial in helping your relatives while you do so to others and
you have that ability; it’s hypocrisy you are actually denying that faith in
Christ. Jesus Christ says in Luke
6:42 that; “How can you think of saying, 'Friend,
let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,' when you can't see past the
log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then
you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend's eye”. This is
because your family members and relatives it’s you i.e. your blood line, it is
your DNA in natural form. This is
why the Bible in 1 Timothy 5:8 warn us that; “But if anyone does not
provide/care for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he
has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever”. And it’s gone so far in a
way that God calls liars those who don’t love their brothers in 1 John 4:20
says; “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he
that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath
not seen?”
Thus let
we not be insincere, let we firstly help our family members and relatives before
turning to others in need by the power of Holy Ghost because God’s love is God
since God is love; His love is omnipresent i.e. touches all without
discrimination, Amen.
