The cursing behaviour can easily be developed into the character which it’s actually the spirit, the one with it likes to judge, annoy, bother others, getting angry easily and hates. That’s why in Psalm 109:17-19 the Bible says; “He loved cursing, so it came to him; and he did not delight in blessing, so it was far from him. But he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, and it entered into his body like water and like oil into his bones. Let it be to him as a garment with which he covers himself, And for a belt with which he constantly girds himself.”
James 3:9-12 in the Bible says about the tongue that; “with it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way. Does a fountain send out from the same opening both fresh and bitter water? Can a fig tree, my brethren, produce olives, or a vine produce figs? Nor can salt water produce fresh". Remember also in Proverbs 18:21 says; “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit”.
But the Bible in 1 Peter 3:8-13 says; “To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. For, "THE ONE WHO DESIRES LIFE, TO LOVE AND SEE GOOD DAYS, MUST KEEP HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL AND HIS LIPS FROM SPEAKING DECEIT."HE MUST TURN AWAY FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD; HE MUST SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT. "FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE TOWARD THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ATTEND TO THEIR PRAYER, BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL." who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?”
However,
Proverbs 3:3-4 warn us by
saying; “Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, write
them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the
sight of God and man”.
For
all these above, Proverbs 11:19 finally concludes that; “He who is steadfast in
righteousness will attain to life, and he who pursues evil will bring about his
own death”.
“Let
we CONTROL OUR TONGUES and fortify LOVE”, Amen.
